Austin Overtures – Austin, Texas (Tour)

When visiting Austin you will want to take the time to learn about its history, but it can take a long time to do this and so the alternative is to take a tour.  Austin Overtures provides the tour that will take you to the historic hot spots of town.  It’s an informative way to learn and not have to try to see things and drive at the same time.  The tour takes 90 minutes, is narrated and will familiarize you with over 30 of Austin’s major historical, cultural, significant points of interest. You will learn about some of the sites that are listed on our website to help you find them again and go spend more time visiting them.  Some of the sites on the tour are: Austin Convention Center, Barton Springs (and Rd), Bob Bullock Texas History Museum, Zilker Botanical Gardens, Congress Ave. Bridge and Bat Colony, Harry Ransom Center, J. Frank Dobie House, J. Blanton Art Museum, LBJ Presidential Library, Long Center for the Performing Arts and on and on.  You will want to get an overview of the city with the tour.

The tours leave at 10; 12:30 and 2:30 from the Visitor Information Center at 209 E. Sixth St. in downtown Austin.
