Henry, but did you know that his name was truly William Sidney Porter?  He was knows as the master of the short story.  He resided in the museum (which was his house) which is an 1886 Queen Anne-style cottage from the years 1893 – 1895.  The home has been restored and now contains artifacts and memorabilia from Porter’s life in Austin.  It is on the National Register Property and National Literary Landmark of the City of Austin.
