At the museum, you will find The Buddy Holly Gallery, which is shaped like a guitar. The Gallery has a permanent collection that explores all aspects of Buddy Holly’s life. Some of the artifacts are owned by the City of Lubbock, while others are on loan from other museums and private owners.

A few of the standout items in the collection include Buddy Holly’s guitar, a Fender Stratocaster, a songbook that he and the Crickets used, photos, contracts, stage clothing, report cards, homework assignments, fan letters, and even a pair of Buddy Holly’s glasses. In addition, you can see Holly’s personal record collection and tour itineraries, as well as many other items from his life.
